FAMILIES FIRST EDUCATION AWARDS
Mrs Neely was nominated for a teaching award in recognition of her excellent contribution to the education of pupils in the Moat Primary School. All staff supported her and attended a beautiful awards ceremony in the Titanic Quarters, Belfast. Feb 2020
MBE FOR PREVIOUS PRINCIPAL
Mrs Humphreys was awarded the MBE for Services to Education in the Queen's 90th Birthday Honours List in 2016. The investiture took place on Tuesday 25th October 2016 at Buckingham Palace. See INVESTITURE.
ATS IN SPECIAL NEEDS
Mrs Bogue gained her ATS having successfully completed Masters Modules in Special Needs (Literacy).
CREDIT TRAINING
Mrs Patterson completed Training in CREDIT (Community Relations, Equality and Diversity) in 2014.
EDUCATIONAL TESTING
Mrs Humphreys completed her CCET in Educational Testing (Recognised by the Psychological Service).
EKLAN TRAINING
Mrs McCrory and Mrs Irwin have completed their EKLAN Training in speech and Language.
RECOGNITION FOR CONTRIBUTION TO EDUCATION
Mrs Humphreys received two special invitations in 2012. The first was to a Jubilee Garden Party in Buckingham Palace, London in May 2012 with the Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, Princess Anne, and the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall.
In September 2012 Mrs Humphreys was a guest at the Hillsborough Garden Party where Prince Andrew was in attendance .
RECOGNITION FOR 'OUTSTANDING SCHOOL'
Mrs Humphreys was invited to Stormont to a reception with the Minister of Education in June 2012.
EARLY MANAGEMENT SKILLS
Mrs Neely and Mrs McElwaine undertook an Early Management Skills course with RTU, Belfast in 2011.
ADVANCED DIPLOMAS IN SPECIAL NEEDS
Mrs Patterson and Mrs Black undertook Postgraduate Advanced Diplomas in Special Needs and Inclusion with Queens University, Belfast. They graduated in January 2011. Mrs Neely had previously graduated with an Advanced Diploma in Special Needs in 2006.
GREEN TEACHER OF THE YEAR
Mr Wilson was one of five teachers selected in N Ireland as Green Teacher of the Year 2010. His class won a trip to the W5 Exhibition in Belfast. Thank you to the pupils who nominated him!
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION IN HEADSHIP
Mrs Patterson graduated with her Professional Qualification in Headship (PQH) in January 2009.
CLEANING TEAM AWARD
The school's cleaning team was invited to Stormont to receive Cleaning Team of the Year 2008. The school cleaning team reached the last 5 teams from within the public and private sectors in N. Ireland.
