Archaeological dig at Lisdoo.

P4 were very excited to attend the archaeological dig in Lisnaskea this week. It is believed that the Maguires that built Castlebalfour had a fort at this site many years ago. The children got to see and hold a variety of artefacts and were interested to find out about what life was like in the past. The staff at the dig were very impressed with the children’s knowledge. The children also participated in the dig. There were lots of interesting findings including quartz and Chert that would have been used for making tools.
