Our new topic, Day and Night, has sparked wonderful curiosity and creativity in the classroom. The children enjoyed taking on different roles during hospital role-play, exploring how people work and help others at all times of the day. They used play dough to create their own sky scenes and in the creative area they made beautiful snowy night pictures to show how the world looks after dark. Pupils also had great fun playing the What’s the Weather? board game, sorting pictures into day-time and night-time and building imaginative constructions with Lego linked to our theme. It has been a hands-on, engaging start to our learning!
