The boys and girls all arrived into school with a spring in their step this morning. Today was the day they would welcome their lovely grandparents into their school a place where they normally get dropped off at the door. Today the Grandparents were welcome to see all that goes on behind the big blue front door. The children had practised their lines and recorder notes, they had rehearsed their songs and they were very excited to perform in front of their favourite people 🤗
Our Grandparents certainly delivered, the assembly hall was bursting at the seams. The behind the scenes crew readied a lot more seats to accommodate our families, the refreshments team had the kettle on the boil and all while the excitement was growing!
We entertained our very willing audience with songs, music and explanations of all the different councils within school. We then threw open the doors to all our classes and play areas outside. We loved having our Grandparents in class. What a very special day ❤️
