Magical Magilligan

P6 have returned from Magilligan Field Centre.
We had a busy time there, enjoying new experiences and having lots of fun.
We went to Magilligan Point and did some beach combing looking for shells and Shark egg cases. Once we had found a tray full we then used a key to identify what we had found sorting everything into groups.
Using what we found we then created beach art.

We walked over the sand dunes to Martello Tower and had a tour inside. We got to look out over the top. What an experience.

We spent the evening on Benone Beach building sandcastles and playing.

On Friday morning we then went to Downhill forest, home to the 2nd largest tree in Northern Ireland. We explored around the forest and looked at all the variety of species of trees and plants.

Needless to say we had a fabulous time away. P6 pupils have to be commended on their exemplary behaviour and manners at all times whilst we were away.
