P1 Shared Education trip to Florencecourt with St. Ronan’s.

P1 had a fantastic trip away with St. Ronan’s to Florencecourt. Following a short bus ride, we got to Florencecourt where we first had our snack in the courtyard. Our guides, Joan and Jane gave us mats to sit on. After snack we were split into two groups and went on our way exploring the grounds. Joan and Jane had us identifying what was man made and what was natural and they had us listen to the sounds we could hear in the forest and garden. We also did some meditation and smelling many of the flowers and herbs in the Walled Garden. We were given goggle eyes to experience how bugs see the world. One of the groups were lucky enough to meet April the dog, who was walking with her owner. We even came across some moorhen chicks. Another fun activity was the mini beast hunt, where we were all given tubs to put any small insects in, which we later released. After a lovely group photo, we had our lunch and then it was off to the play park. We all had an amazing time with our friends from St. Ronan’s.
