P2/3 have been talking all about mini beasts this week after their enjoyable field trip to Florencecourt. They had a lovely surprise today when Mrs McElwaine brought in a honeycomb from her very own family bee 🐝 hive! With some real honey in it! We couldn’t believe how strong the honeycomb was or how the bees made it, all the hexagon shapes were just perfect - nature is a wonderful thing! In Florencecourt we had been learning all about bees 🐝 and pollination. We are super lucky to have such thoughtful teachers, Thank you Mrs McElwaine!
