The boys and girls arrived into school to find Mrs Black buzzing around our classroom 🐝 today is World Bee Day and she was setting up lots of different play stations. During our morning circle time, Mrs Black left the classroom and we were joined by a lady dressed as a Bee Keeper, only when she sat down with us we understood that it was Mrs Black dressed in a full Bee Keepers protective outfit! Such fun! She explained to us that the net around her face let her see out but kept the bees from getting in, the material was strong so to not get stung.
Under our canopy outside our classroom we collected our honey 🍯 into lots of different sized containers, which was lots of fun. In our classroom we painted lots of 🐝 bees, we played bee bot on our iPads, we crafted bees from paper plates.
Our P3 classmate’s researched lots of different fact about bees and after break Mrs Black encouraged them to teach what they had learned to us and we used our new knowledge to write sentences in our Literacy lesson. We have had a wonderful day!
