P3/4 Shared Education Christmas Trip To Marble Arch Caves

P3 and P4 had a super day  at Marble Arch Caves. We met our friends from Saint Ronans at the caves. There was an elf there to greet us. After getting into groups we went down the caves. They were dark, cold but very interesting. We heard how they were first explored in the 1800s by candlelight by two men. We saw different formations stalactites, staligmites, the frozen waterfall, the porridge pot, the bacon, and the cauliflower. We also got to take part in an elf hunt in the glen around Marble Arch. We enjoyed a sing-a-long on Johnny's bus on the journey there and back. Mrs Mc Elwaine took requests for songs to play on the speaker.
