P3/4 Visit to Castlebalfour

Today P3/4 as part of their class topic visited Castle Balfour to look at the Castle located so close to our school.

The children enjoyed learning about the history of Castle Balfour and how James Balfour had built the castle between 1618 - 1620.  The castle hasn’t been lived in for a very long time, but we enjoyed looking at castle and seeing the properties of a castle we have been learning about.
