Phonics in Nature

Today , our P1 class took phonics outdoors! As we focused on the sound ‘s’ , we searched for and collected sticks and stones - two perfect examples of our special sound. Then , we got creative by mixing soil with rainwater to make natural ‘ paint’ , which we used to write the letter ‘s’ on paper . We then used our sticks to write the letter ‘s’ in the gravel . It was a fun , messy and memorable way to practice our sounds.
