Moat Primary School is delighted to be involved in a new project from SchoolCycled. It is an initiative by MYGroup, designed to educate the next generation about recycling, fragile ecosystems and sustainability.
The innovation in recycling allows us to process many of the items that would ordinarily end up landfilled or incinerated, the so-called ‘hard-to-recycle’ wastes; but,ultimately, we need our children to also become environmentalists, activists and scientists with the ability to create solutions to our pollution issues.
Pupils, parents, family members and teachers are encouraged to collect plastic bottle caps at home and school.
For every kilogram of bottle caps collected, the school earns 250 Earth Tokens. Tokens can be exchanged for items of furniture, play equipment, signage or other recycled plastic items
We would encourage everyone to start collecting their bottle top over the summer for us – this can include milk bottle tops and any other plastic bottle tops that you have.
