Ulster Scots Club 16.03.23
Matthew from the Ulster Scots Agency came to the Moat to talk about language. He first talked about a bit of history and the importance of the Plantation of Ulster. He also mentioned the upcoming coronation of King Charles and how exciting that was going to be. All the children’s surnames were discussed and he was able to tell everyone whether their name was of English, Irish or Scottish decent. Matthew then taught the children about some Ulster Scots words and he finished with a couple of songs. Thank you, Matthew.
